To freely apply innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to architecture that address complex social and environmental issues, HACHA-DESIGN was founded as a design practice that collaborates with mission driven artists, engineers specializing in nontraditional structures, and local nonprofit organizations to envision new ways of living in the world.

With responsibilities as an architect and educator, Amy seeks creative solutions to emerging urban issues that explore how places can grow socially, culturally, and economically in a sustainable way. As an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco, Department of Architecture, Amy promotes a cross-disciplinary approach in her architectural design studios that pushes students to envision new ways of designing urban spaces. As an architect with experience in Switzerland, New York City, Seattle, and the Bay Area, Amy emphasizes the importance of applying a global perspective to local challenges, and addresses climate and socioeconomic issues while maintaining empathy in her designs.
